Went out to shoot some ice climbing last week – great fun, do it right and you are not cold for a second. This is the Evan Thomas area in Kananaskis. Camera: Panasonic AG-HMC150 and 120 metres of jumaring.
Yes, finally a video shoot with the Canon 5D Mark II. I was curious.
It worked out pretty good: Shallow DOF, super colors and latitude.
There was, however, proof of the rolling shutter, you can see it in the vibrating guitar strings.
All in all, pick the right occasion for a DSLR shoot and beware of its limitations!
