360 Video and Stills

Initially I was hesitant to get into 360 stills/video – after all, it takes a lot of control away from the ‘cinematographer’. The viewer decides where to look and when…but that’s not a bad thing, is it?

It creates a more interactive experience, the ‘being there’ feeling is definitely strong. Use a VR mask and – beam me up, Scotty – then you’re really there.

I’ve invested into an INSTA360Pro, the best 360 camera out there at the moment. 8k gives you some options to work with and the sharpness beats the phone-attachment cameras by a good stretch.

This is a great tool for advertising any kind of properties, hotel or real estate. Exterior locations such as mountain landscapes in Canmore, Banff or Lake Louise look terrific as well.
